George S. Burns
Admitted to California bar, 1986. University of Southern California (B.A., magna cum laude, 1982); Loyola Law School (J.D., 1986). Mr. Burns has successfully tried hundreds of jury and non-jury trials, arbitrations and appeals. He frequently litigates real estate, environmental, insurance, employment, trade secret, trademark, unfair competition, partnership and corporate disputes. Mr. Burns frequently authors articles for the legal community, and has taught courses in business law and contracts in the post-graduate studies program at the University of California, Irvine.
Victoria E. Moss
Admitted to Texas bar in 1990, and California bar in 1994. San Diego State University (B.A. 1987); University of San Diego (J.D. 1990). Ms. Moss practices general civil litigation with an emphasis on business and commercial matters. Ms. Moss’ practice includes general and complex business litigation, employment litigation, bankruptcy, environmental coverage disputes, deceptive trade practices and professional liability. Formerly with Fulbright & Jaworski in Houston, Texas, where she defended aviation related tort actions, as well as premises liability and products liability matters. Ms. Moss has successfully tried numerous jury trials and bench trials, arbitrations and mediations.
Kathryn M. Schwertfeger

Ms. Schwertfeger has worked on a broad array of transactions and general corporate representation for emerging growth and middle market public companies. Ms. Gerth has a construction defect background and extensive litigation experience.
Dennis J. Cooley
Admitted to California bar, 1988. University of California at Los Angeles (B.A., 1985); Boalt Hall (J.D., 1988). Mr. Cooley has experience in a broad variety of complex business litigation areas, with an emphasis on intellectual property. Mr. Cooley practices business litigation with an emphasis on development and environmental matters. Mr. Cooley has worked on numerous television and feature film purchase and option transactions with all major studios including Disney, Fox and Warners Bros. He is a current member of the Writer’s Guild of America.
Angela S. Ortiz
Marisol Martinez has been with the firm since 2007 and is responsible for the firm’s document management and maintains all client files. Marisol coordinates outside vendor services and assists with billing and other administrative matters.
Angela Ortiz has more than 10 years of experience as a litigation legal assistant.
